-----------------------------------------------------------------

so guys i thought this would interest you all...

Sony are busy testing JB build (4.1.2) for the Xperia P...
the firmware will be 6.2.x.x.x
kernel is 3.0.8

PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SYSTEM DUMP/ETC...

I DO NOT KNOW WHEN IT WILL BE RELEASED FOR XPERIA P/others

more screenshots posted here...

FAQs

Q. Will we get CM10 now that Jelly Bean gets released?
A. Depends on when kernel sources are released.

Q. Is Super Stamina Mode present?
A. Yes, but doesn't work in the test ROM yet. And don't expect it to be there in final ROM.

Q. Will Bravia Engine work?
A. Cannot be confirmed.

Q. Is the 3.0.8 Kernel version final?
A. Yes, it's not possible to change to new kernel so late into development. Consider this as final!

Q. Will Sola and U get Jelly Bean ported over for them?
A. It's not that easy.

Q. Do I get new Jelly Bean Media Apps and updates (like Xperia Z)?
A. Can't say as this is not final release ROM.

Q. Is the Lock Screen updated?
A. Yes, it's the same as the Xperia T lock screen now.

Q. When will I receive the update (Xperia P)?
A. Sony said update roll out commences end of March, so any time in April you should get the update (stop whining about this).

DO NOT ASK

- for ETA of official JB release
- for release of this leaked ROM
- for CM10 from devs
- for System Dumps
- for Jelly Bean port to U and SOLA

Wait for it. It takes time, nothing is made in a day (or even two for that matter). Patience is virtue.

will keep u posted if something useful turns up...

Same kernel is good news for phones of the same series that will not be updated with locked bootloader. It means that it will be easier to port
