Here is my port of Mozilla's Firefox OS for Xperia Go.
This ROM is currently a CyanogenMod based version of Boot to Gecko without significant modifications, BUT I want this ROM (FoXperia) to became something more.
What do you think about a web based OS with Xperia style?

  • @gigitux for continously helping with the errors, and building the ROM at the same time
  • @targa for testing the ROM
  • FXP for their work on CM9

Bugs we know about:
  • Camera does not work
  • No USB connection

What I noticed is working:

*sound (maybe a bit laggy, don't know how the sounds suppose to sound like)
*HSPA
*WIFI
*Browser
*can read SD card (found my photos)
*E-Mail client
*Dropbox client
*adb using Sony stock drivers and SDK tools
imports bluetooth and wifi pairings from android installation


likely/partly working:
*GPS (starts scanning at least)
*display brightness adjustment seems to fast, that it's almost flickering, switchin to fix brightness solves this.
*battery lasting short only (less than 24h)
*Wifi/GPS switched off after reboot (possibly also MBB)



not working:
* Camera (as expected), only the shoot button comes up, otherwise screen stays black
* battery keeps on showing 100%
* seems not possible to display time in 24h format
Louspeaker in a call can be enabled but no sound

I'd like to have some screen shots posted from the phone itself but the browser jumps where it shouldnt on touching i.e. the xda login fields...

well... maybe. without Wifi it lasted until today afternoon (counting the 14h from previous post)
so maybe it's about deep sleep.
unfortunately I didn't yet find a shell on the phone itself in firefox marketplace, if connecting via adb it seems to get charged (according to /sys/... files) so I can't really rule out one or another thing.
