Question Xperia GO Downgrading

Hello there,
I've been using official 4.1.2 JB on my Xperia GO and I'm deciding about going back to gingerbread. However, I got my phone rooted with DooMLoRD's Easy Rooting Toolkit and am wondering if I can follow these steps on this site:

Could this be risky? Can my phone in such condition end up getting bricked?
