[Xperia Sola] Does your GPS works ?

Hi,

I got a Sola yesterday and I cant get GPS to work :(

In GPS test I have satellite in view but 0 in use, they are grey.
In Maps no GPS signal neither.

Does the satellie appears normally on GPS Test?

Is that what you wanted to see? :)

EDIT: I know it's not from SOLA, but I think it should look the same way:)

Thanks for the tips.

My device get stuck on Please wait after hitting the GPS Location Test... Hope its not a hardware pb :(

I'm sorry to say that but it looks like a hardware fault. If restart or wipe don't fix this, it does look like a hardware issue. Are you running stock software?

I'm not familiar with SOLA but it shouldn't be that different:(

i tried again the gps location test this morning and it fix after 9 minutes !
Then i tryed again and it was in 13 seconds. Satellites now show ok on GPS Test...
I think GPS needed to warm up Lol.

GPS problem

My Xperia U seems to have the same issue...

The devices that came with the NovaThor U8500 chipset are experiencing this GPS problem. It is a hardware problem.

When I use the A-GPS function (using 3g data during the satellite search to calculate the distance of the device until the antennas making a triangulation) i can get signal much faster.

Unfortunately the GPS receiver of these devices is disappointing.

You're right. I can't help but noticed that most android devices that i've seen don't have satisfactory GPS experience. When i compare them to other phones this is the only area that lacks the most. Let's just hope for better in the future

This dude right here is the file that you've to edit to get GPS working, there is a post in this forum that fixes GPS problems in any phone.
