As the title states, Google Services is responsible for my battery drain issue.

What can I do about it?

This thread looks helpful.

Newer nightlies (> 20 March) of any ROM should have it fixed, though.

I'll check it, thanks.

As of now, I found an app called GServicesFix. It is supposed to fix memory/battery leaks caused by Google Play & Services.

Last night I fully charged the battery and ran the program. Second thing, I purchased the Greenify App. The full donation version has an extra option, quite a useful option the free one cannot do.

Basically, in the experimental option, it will allow me to hibernate system applications, not just the ones I've installed.

Let's see if this makes any difference.

So far, my battery has dropped from 100% to 97% . However, the phone has been awake for 10 hours, not a bad start...

As from yesterday, I upgraded from Lollipop to Kitkat since there are certain apps not compatible with Lollipop. Also, the battery life was far better in Kitkat than any other Lollipop rom.

Thank Google for this. Becides myself, there are many other people complaining about poor battery life and memory leaks in Lollipop regardless of rom...

Google must fix these issues in 5.01 or 5.02 whenever they decide to do so!!!!
