Thanks for the OP firmwares, I was looking a few weeks back for stock Sony and wound up with the Greek version so I had some fun trying to fix signal (to of which it now is fine), I'll flash this sometime since I'm still considered with greek firmware =P

G'day fellow Aussies!

Whats the difference between Optus and Unbranded ftfs? Is it just the bloatware system apps that cant be uninstalled?

Where did these AU ftfs come from? Were they created with Flashtool from downloaded install files from PC Companion when updating phones here in AU? I ask cos i want to be sure the ftf from the OP is the same as if i were to get it from PC Companion or OTA.

My phone is Xperia Z (C6603) on a plan from Optus.

Thanks!

Ok, backup current firmware. Did a bit of searching, i just run Repair in SUS (Sony Update Service), then get the blob_fs files and decrypt them in flashtool. Is this right?

Edit: Theres no Repair option in SUS. All it does is update. I just found that out now as ive never used it before. How do i backup my current ftf?

I'm running CM10.2 nightlies and LTE is working fine on Optus.

From what I have read it is usually your APN. Apparently the APN for LTE on Vodafone is different to the one the device defaults too.

I think this link will give you the details

My Wife's Telstra XZ got OTA update yesterday I think it was to 10.3.1.A.0.244. My Telstra XZ is running 4.3 (PAC-Rom) beautifully.

That's why customers who bought phone from Telstra & Vodafone has the I9300T model. But the hardware wise it's all the same.

Not always correct. The hardware was changed on the I9100 and I9100T (not sure about I9300/I9300T) though.

Notice the extra cable / bypass on the I9100T model?

On the international i9100 handset, put simply, the board is a direct connection between the coax and the antenna element. But on the i9100t, there is an extra component in between the coax and element. This seems to be a bandpass filter of some sort, that favours the 850 and 900MHz frequency. Any other frequency bands (1900, 2100, etc) will be severely attenuated.

Back OT: Can anyone confirm baseband on 10.3.1.A.0.244 is actually "9x15A-ACEFWMAZQ-30110057-39"? I flashed the Baseband only from this f/w yet my Baseband has stayed at 9x15A-ACEFWMAZQ-30110041-23.

it just a connector Samsung used probably due to supplier changes etc from different factories. . It's known fact Samsung use different hardware parts from different suppliers.. Even our Xperia Z has two different LCD panels.. one from JVC & other one form Sharp..Don't know who wrote that article :S
