Yup, not really adding to what we already know - not the greatest screen/camera but still the best mobile phone out there.

Wanted to see some battery rundown tests but GSMarena didn't really add much to their preview. Still waiting.

the screen measurements are considerably better than in the preview though contrast ratio of 700+ instead of 500+.
the measurements are really close to my Samsung tab 10.1v screen which I really like

Also they did it at 100% we know the xperia z can get quite bright and loses contrast at 70%+ i was just really disappointed they did not show the values at 50% brightness!?!?!?

If the shipments arrive tomorrow, i might get to test the screen of a fresh, new xperia z straight out of the retail packaging. Make or break time!

Its still a good review and im sure all us who are getting one will enjoy and love the screen. I dont really care what other say, as long as I enjoy the experience then thats all that matters. Ive done HTC and Samsung, time for a Sony for once.

Aren't you a tad bit annoyed though at how close Sony was to attaining utter and universal perfection?

Perhaps it being the closest one to do so is a big thing on its own.

Yeah I wont hide that it does disappoint me about the screen contrast but I can live with it and I cant see it being something that im gonna sell the phone over. I'm guessing that its a software problem and Sony can fix it. A lot of talk about those kind of options in the retail units. Time will tell but I'll be happy with my new phone coming from a iPhone 5 (which im keeping for the best of both worlds :P )
