Default [Q] Sony Xperia Z how to turn off Background Data?

Can anyone tell me if any of the Sony Xperia Z custom ROMs allow you to turn off background data?

I know that CM7 allows the user to turn off background data for all phones. I don't know about other ROMs.

Thanks!

Settings > Data Usage (3rd from top) > Menu (3 dots at top right).
Click on Restrict Background Data. Ensure that the blue tick mark is there (accept Ok for any messages that the phone throws back). You're Done!

Thank you for the quick reply, but my tablet has JellyBean (JB) and restrict background data doesn't seem to restrict anything. I can still access Google Play and other apps still access in the background, too.

I'm wondering if this is a firmware-related issue and maybe someone can tell me if there is a custom ROM or Kernel for the XZ that allows background data to be completely turned off?

You have a tablet Z? Then ask in that device section, I'm out of ideas for that device.... You may however try to scroll Browsing the data usage and see what you want to individually restrict for background data. That works for me...
