I'll include a permission fixer in the mod since a lot of people are having issues.

What I did was:
- Phone with deodexed 422fw
- Flash honami cam with TWRP
- Wiped data of the apps

That's it

Delete the odex files associated with the replaced apps/jar's, then manually clear all associated camera cache and data's then reboot. It does work but you will have the android upgrading bug until your Rom is deodexed, I have this mod running on .244fw (odexed) and the only bugs for me is superior auto fc's after a little while and the preview is a little blurry but it doesn't bother me.

Edit: Scrub what I said about superior auto, it works fine I just forgot to remove an odex file so my fault.

To all those getting force close on camera delete SemcCameraUI.apk from system app and replace it with the new one delete ArtFilterCamera.apk and replace it with the new one and reboot if you have problem with flashlight replace libcameralight.so with the one from your rom from lib folder

I can confirm this is working!!

firstly i followed the installation by @krabappel2548

reboot phone, used root explorer to copy the SemcCameraUI.apk, ArtFilterCamera.apk, libcameralight.so from the .zip, and moved them to the appropriate directory under /system, and replaced the ones that were already there, then reboot.

the things that's NOT working:

1. face registration. fc when i tried to activate it.
2. timeshift doesn't save photos, a "loading" circle keeps spinning at the bottom right corner where should be the saved photo short cut.


P.S. I am on monxDIFIED ★ ESSENTIAL | DARK/LIGHT | HONAMiXZ™ [v04-06][09/09]

so i suppose all roms based on .244 should work.

another one from existenzV3 . Face recogniton FC ,and timeshift doesn't save photos . Tried replacing timeshift.apk with the one from Ev3, but it doesn't appear in the list any more ..

What do you mean when u say delete semccamera ui / Artfiltercamera.apk and replace it with the new one? Which new one? where is it located..Noob here

Delete the ones that is in system /app and replace it with the new one which is from the zip of the port.
