Thank you for this.
I think I have to ask. Does the Sony camera as Timeshift video works?
Do I need unlocked bootloader for it?
I'm really looking forward to come back to CM

Sony camera and Timeshift video won't work on this ROM or any other AOSP-Based ROM,
Yes you must have an unlocked bootloader to install it.

I hope you like it
Regards,
Omar.

Flashing this update once I am home again!

Though..

Is there any focus improvements done at the camera level? My Z1 refuses to auto focus with accurate results, that is when usinh the shutter button.. Any workaround to this small issue?

There's still no official ROM from the Omni repositories for Z1, so I'm thinking about going back to CyanogenMod.
Sure, they're a corporation now and - most importantly (honestly!) - their boot animation sucks when compared to the lovely Omni Android with its funny wiggling ears

But, nevertheless, their ROM is far more stable and therefore reliable. Yes, Omar is doing a great job and the current version isn't that bad. But Sony released a Z2, a Z3 and in just a few months Z4 will see its public release. Still, neither Omar nor Omni are able to officially support the Z1, let alone its successors. This is such a pity and makes me really sad, because I'm not able to improve the situation.

well it's not about omni or me being able to officially support the device,
the only thing needed is a willing maintainer (and I'm maintaining more than enough devices for a lot of ROMs ATM, so...)

It's possible that for sure, but will someone do it or not, that's the question!
As for me, I'm gonna maintain (ether officially or unofficially) fewer LP ROMs,
so I don't think I'll do omni

Regards,
Omar.
