So over at xperiablog, it said the Z2 AOSP had been released by Sony. Does that mean it will work for the Z2 Tablet as well?

Reading, it seems the aosp is for phones only, and not tablets, with the exception of the unified kernel across several platforms.

Well, I'm not a professional on Sony, but it seems they are trying to get rid of the version fragmentation and go for one unified build for all devices. This is probably evident in some of the recent cross platform mods we have going on. One mod for all devices (4.4.x)
