Very nice ROM. Maybe it's not the lightest one, but it's much faster than others.
This ROM finally made Z2 as fast as HTC One M8 :)

Dzięki DiKej.
Zarówno przy X10 mogłem liczyć na Twój ROM, tak i tutaj się nie zawiodłem. Prędko go nie zmienię, no chyba że masz już w planach jakiegoś Lollipopa :)

I was seriously busy last weeks and even now had some things to do at university, so didn't checked last time how's going here. So tell me pal - is all things "fixed" on 4.4.4 relase for Z2? I heard some battery life problem, also sound volume or problems with other things, camera in automode etc. Are those things are no more? If yes, then I think I can make some update for Perfection, why not :p. Of course when I have time, so not yet ;). And if 5.0 from Sony will get really good features and design, maybe in the future some DX ROM will appear, who knows :D. Cheers guys! Have a nice upcoming Christmas!

As far as I've noticed camera works great and volume is also good.
Battery life issues sometimes happen, that's true, it looks like the stamina mode stops to work.
One more thing, but I don't know it's rom fault or sony's fault. When I try to search for cellular network then it keeps searching forever.

Thanks for reply mate :). I will dig into it in free time before Christmas or after January in 2015, to fix all things if exist and update ROM to newest firmware ;D. Also, if 5.0 suprised me something special - some DiXperia COULD happen in the future (but I'm not promise). :]

Pandemic, chillout Alex, @Vivaz90197 wanted to tell that he is very happy and surprised that I'm still doing some stuff counting from X10's times :).

Vivaz90197, Dziękuję za pamięć i za miłe słowa - dobrze wiedzieć, że nadal ktoś o mnie pamięta, mimo że to już praktycznie emerytura xD. (eng. thanks for kind words - it's good to know that still people recognize me even after I retired xD)

Also, for all you guys, I think DX Perfection won't get any updates (for now, or not at all). It's beacuse there are some build problems, so it 'might' be some refreshed version with new clean flashing (one new big file with the newer build). I don't have any clue why my update file have some problems, but maybe that's beacuse I wanted to relase it too fast (had a week free, but couldn't fix it). Now, study at university started again, and no time for develop, sorry guys.

But, I will look at 5.0 after relase (and bugfixing) to decide, if some new DiXperia project will be good decision. For now - I'm extremely happy with my Z2 with DXP, even after months of using after relase :).

How's yours feelings of using it? Should I fix something, or decide to relase new ROM? I'm waiting for your answer or questions :D. Cya!

Całkiem sporo lat, trzeba przyznać :).
(eng. yeah, it's been quite few years, need to say)

Also, what do you guys think about lollipop? I prefer better look of kitkat than material lollipop, but maybe that's me. Once again I ask - How's yours feelings of using DiXperia Perfection? Should I fix something, or decide to relase new ROM? Cheers!

Firstly, I want to say hi, as I'm new in this XDA section, was being a long time in X10, Play, J and Neo L development, but now it's time to say knock knock here, so welcome everybody, my name is Damian and please, let me introduce my project for Xperia Z2 :).

If you want to see how much I've made check my signature and find my website or look in all my projects post inside XDA :p.

    mGX74F.png

Credits goes to Sony, olokos, DooMLoRD, Rizal Lovins, dipesh1502, rovo89, Tungstwenty , :). Also, special thanks to my Tester HussainQ for his outstanding and fast review and help with creating instructions for Locked Bootloader users :).

'Perfection' is single project for Xperia Z2, as I don't have much enough time to create many ROMs like years ago. I can't confirm I will develop something more and something new, but I can promise you won't be dissapointed after you flash this one :D.

    • DiXperia 'Perfection' is my ROM based on official Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat.
    • Most of features are written below, so start reading this big thread! Hope you still want do that, and use my ROM :fingers-crossed:.

    R3nVmu.png

    • Based on KK 4.4.2 with firmware .314, with Sony Xperia apps and framework (4.4.4 android version changed just for fun if somebody like to have something "special" - still, it's an improvement compared to clean stock :)).
    • Create Yourself ™ - my own idea. You've seen this in all DiXperias - it's something like "you choose stuff and version you like, and if you need something, you just apply this like extra file. No need to delete tons of apps you don't using and won't" - it's simple, fast, and has potential :).
    • Playstation Certificate and Dualshock 3/4 connection.
    • Prebuilded DooMLoRD's CWM Recovery as boot.img inside package.
    • Xposed Installer + package with some modules which I think are very good and useful (of course credits for each module goes to his maker, not me :D).
    • Sony apps like Walkman, Movies, Album.
    • Changing music via lockscreen.
    • Xperia swype keyboard.
    • 30 volume steps, stereo sound in headphones and speakers.
    • Patched services.jar with signature check.
    • Dockbar icons changed.
    • No data icon after turning it off.
    • init.d and build.prop changes, also battery lifetime increased.
    • Scripts, tricks, tweaks - they promise lot of fun, lot of performance and lot of stability ^^.
    • I think it's enough but you know it's not everything - I'm sure I missed a lot of features, but it's up to you to test it yourself if you really want to using this ROM.

Just come and get it in second post :).

    2T8YZk.png

    • Of course Root + Busybox.
    • Deodex and bootloader unlocked.
    • CWM Recovery (I've tested applying CWM (root, bootloader etc. also) on firmware .55, then aplied .314 and no problems after jump)

    d2H9jE.png

    • Download ROM (+ optional addons) and put it on your SD Card.
    • Go to CWM Recovery and make Full Wipe and Wipe Cache, then clean your Dalvik.
    • Choose .zip to flash and select my ROM. Wait...
    • Apply root updater.
    • Done! Reboot :).
    • Feel free to use it! :D
note for D6502 users --> just check here and here

    ==> Important <==
Don't want make mess here, so just go and read Suggestions, cause there are some nice advices to get DXP working like it should (we need change some settings after flashing and booting ROM :)).

    Hmos3T.png

And bugs are in 3rd post :D.

Golden-Suggestion -> If you like my work and you are using it right now, please glorify it on your signature with this graphic:

    And:
    - Don't use any backup! (it doesn't mean you must delete yours, but be sure that it can create some problems. If you replace backup and everything is cool - that's cool! :D)
    - After flash my system give it 1 day for better stability and the second one for applicate all scripts/tweaks/tricks.
    - Use Xposed if you want some extra-features.
    - Simple, but no one understand it. If you want to have better battery life just decrase brightness.
    - In my opinion, smartassV2 or interactiveX (choose yourself) gives awesome stability and performance :).
    - Remember to turning off unused things like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, Tethering and so on.

    This is against XDA rules.
    And it's very rude...

XDA developers forum isn't market, that's a place where we are coming to learn, hack and have fun...

It's not cool to do that....really, it's not.

There are no best ROMs, there are only ROMs.
Best or worse - that's something highly subjective.

    Hi Guys.

I've been testing this ROM for quite a while now, and it's just amazing. Battery performance is great. I'm still at 73% with 3h screen time! The ROM itself is very smooth, and eliminates most of the lag produced by the stock Sony Launcher. Truly brings back the experience I once enjoyed a couple years back on this very ROM.

I'm running this on a Locked Bootloader, so I will post the instructions on how to flash DiXperia on a Locked Device.

1- Make sure you have Philz Dual Recovery for Locked Bootloader installed on your device. This will make things a lot easier. You should also have the Philz flashable Dual Recovery on your device so that you do not loose recovery. Also make sure that you have flashtool running on your computer with working flash drivers for the Xperia Z2, as well as the stock kernel for .314 firmware. This is a safety precaution I used (as mentioned a couple posts back).
2- Download the ROM and the Root Updater on your device. These two are definitely required. You can use the other addons as well.
3- Boot into the recovery of choice (I prefer TWRP over Philz CWM).
4- If you are using TWRP, then click on Wipe. The details shown will specify that it is a factory reset and will not wipe internal storage. Just swipe to reset. It will take a couple minutes.
5- If you are using CWM, Do a factory reset and make sure you select "Clean to install a new ROM" so that internal storage is not wiped.
6- Once this is complete, Flash the ROM first. DON'T REBOOT. Then flash the DualRecovery so that you don't lose recovery on reboot.
7- Now Power Off the device.
8- Now switch to your PC. Select flash mode on Flashtool. If you have separate kernel, then flash that without wiping anything. If you have the whole .314 firmware, then untick all the wipe options, and select under Exclude the following:
    - Partition
    - TA
    - FOTA
    - Baseband
    - System
    - Elabel
Some of these might not be there. Don't worry, just tick the ones that are there.
9- Once you have finished flashing the stock kernel, reboot device. You will feel a vibration. Once you do, press Vol UP for CWM, Vol DOWN for TWRP.
10- Flash the Root Updater, as well as any other addons you would like.
    11- Reboot and Enjoy!

EDIT: If you would like to restore a backup using the Backup & Restore app by Sony, then you must edit build.prop so that Android Version is 4.4.2, because your backup can only restore on Android 4.4.2.
