ZL washed out screen

I don't know about your ZL but the screen on mine is washed out a milky faded dull panel and it's plain to see when I compare it to other phones I remember the ZL I viewed in the Sony store to be a little better then this one.

Did you turn off the Bravia engine? Or play with the white balance?

No and the Bravia engine is only for photos and video 📹 and the ZL is not my only phone as I have 4 others to compare it to, now tft lcd screens are known for there lack of contrast and poor viewing angles but even my Xperia T can seem more vibrant at times.
