Ex kernel typically has haptic feedback for gestures option within aroma installer. If it's missing in your version try consulting with the kernel Dev.

It's not enabled for new wake gestures and should be implemented in app to allow switching for every gesture and its haptic feedback separately.

Just found this thread, and I've been reading few pages back, but was really unsure of how this works.

I'm using N5 with EX kernel.

Do I have to enable wakeup function for this to work? ( d2w,s2w, which causes battery drain )
Or I can just install as a module without the function and still work as per normal with no battery drain?

I'm really confused. Please explain.

EDIT: Nevermind. I found my answer!

Any chance you can make this work for 4.1? In other words why does it need to be 4.2+? I'd really like to get this working on my phone (I can make a compatible kernel), but the module won't install (-not a valid apk(or incompatible)-). I tried doing it with sense 5 toolbox but it refuses to install as well
