I installed this module specially for ChompSMS and it does not remove ads from the app, which, it seems, was also voiced in this thread by two other users about a month ago.
I'm not going to uninstall it though. The idea of being able to disable adds in particular apps, and not system-wide is too tempting.

I haven't looked into this app in a while. Just assumed it did what it does.
Well, the log file doesn't say it's blocking anything so I really don't know if it works.
There are a ton of ad networks out there. I wish the app allowed for users to add additional blocking.
This app has maybe 20 and there's at least 200 more out there.
Several ad detector apps are out there which scan your apps for known sdk's. Seems like something could be done to make the app a little better. Either pull new definition updates from, say, a github repo?

Also, it's about time to get rid of ActionBarSherlock. It's deprecated and I assume replacing it with Android libraries would make the app tinier?
If anything, the app itself doesn't really need a gui if all it does is make me check boxes beside each app. Why not just block all by default or put an update mechanisms and have the logging work to warrant a gui.
Just my thoughts

I've seen this module mess up apps when enabling towards, i.e.- Kernel Tuner
