Default [Q] Xposed on HTC One Max after Sense 6 OTA update

Just updated to Sense 6 OTA last night when my phone (HTC One Max) notified me of it. Tried to reinstall Xposed but the module will not install. I get the error "Failed to get root access, Mae sure your device is rooted properly and you have not blocked shell commands"Weaksauce will not install to get root access and therefore I cannot install Xposed. I'm not super super super tech and programmer savvy so if anyone knows of any fixes?

Well I haven't actually fully rooted my device before. Any time the phone was rebooted or reset the root was turned off (done through weaksauce or Xposed I think). So should I just fully root the device instead of trying to get this working?
