LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

INSTRUCTIONS :
Download the latest build and gapps
Reboot to twrp
Flash the latest build and gapps
Reboot

* If you are coming from stock rom you need to unlock your bootloader before flash twrp
** A tv with HDMI-CEC is required for the initial setup of the device. Then, you can use the ATV Remote app or the official Razer app

BUGS:
- Secure playback is broken (No Play Movies, Hbo Go, Netflix, etc...)
- Random blue screen flickering
- You tell me

Any hope for the DRM to be fixed?

I just read up on the status on Google+. Really hoping you can get it working someday.

DRM help...
I'm not sure of you are aware of the Xiaomi Mi box, but there are some on XDA trying to deal with losing DRM when downgrading beta builds.

Anyway, I thought you might be interested to read about the progress they've made. Apparently, on the mi box DRM resides in the kernel (if I read that right, I'm a user not a Dev). Here's the thread. Hope you find it useful.

Thanks i'll take a look. In this case Widevine L1 is working, we have drm and google cast, for example. But playback is broken.
Is not the same case, but all helps....
