Unpack the zip file into a folder on your pc. Then you will see a .jar file double click it this will open the tool.

Hi Dev,
I really like this tool. saves so much time.
Will you be upgrading it to handle MM framework?

My team already use it in MM mate what is not working? You can just download the latest apktool and drop it into the tools folder, the select it in the settings tab.

Compared to yourself & the team I am very much a novice, I appreciate any help you can provide.
I have done a little search and installed apktool 2.1.0. Is this the latest?
selected it in preferences.
I Still can't install frameworkres.apk.

I see this is an old thread, but maybe someone can help answer my question, I have installed the framework-res.apk file successfully, but I am unsure how to install my twframework.apk, I believe this is needed because every time I try to decompile an apk, such as messaging.apk it gives a failed decompile message. This is for the samsung galaxy s6 fyi

I will give it a try, so let me just see if I follow you correctly, Install framework file: choose framework.apk with a tag name, then install, then choose tw-framework.apk and install with the same tag name, then choose whatever system app apk to decompile and it should work then?
