I mostly release in the Play store and on GitHub only, but I have just uploaded to XDA Labs too (is anybody using this?).

That's interesting. On my phone, root does not seem to connect at all even though it is not blocked in NetGuard. I wonder why and what that means.
Android 9.

Android 9.

That it doesn't connect anywhere (except for DNS, but this is handled in a special way).

In the global access log (three dots menu, show log).

See the screenshot in this comment for an example.

Sometimes the new builds don't tell me they are out on my phone I guess I see them on xda before the app tells me. So I look on xda forum when you post new build

I kill Google play then and it works again for a short while.
I have the problem since a while, not related to the actual NetGuard version.
I guess this is due to the adblocking hosts, but I don't know how to allow it.

My friend (with NetGuard 2.241 and also hosts adblock) has problems with the download of books on Amazon Kindle App, often this is blocked too. She deactivates NetGuard then and download is working then.
It seems to me the same thing.

Is this a known issue?

Thank, frank

@M66B or anyone ....?

If I was to update to Android Q Beta 3 from 9 Pie on my Pixel XL 3,

Would I have any issues ad blocking, or denying internet access to the apps I choose?

Are there negatives in this aspect?

NetGuard needs to be updated for Android Q. I commented on this with the release of the first Android Q beta, but this is now buried under a pile of new comments here. Updating NetGuard will have to wait until I have a device running Android Q. I would like to buy a Pixel 3a for this, but this device will not be sold in my country (the Netherlands)

Marcel,
I saw my list of apps inside Netguard and searching for "root" I can see "raiz uid:0" in the list. In spanish "raiz" is "root". And I have always blocked it and didnĀ“t find problems. Can you tell me if I could find some problems if I continue blocking it then?. Thanks.
