I did not follow this thread, I saw your remark afterwards.I did remark in the release notes of the first stable release, that I will add IP-filtering if there is enough interest in NetGuard.
This would be an option with a warning that there will be more battery used and will reduce the network speed somehwat.
It would allow for some nice features though, like ad blocking, but also for device wide rules to block analytic services.

Now that will bring some needed things for you to code: default lists, custom lists, whitelisting, auto-update.
Antivirus solutions require a team of researchers, but NetGuard is just a one man free and open source project, so this is not really possible. Adding bug free IP filtering for all protocols would already be a significant effort.
Please rate in the Play store as well, since there is always a category of people rating low for the wrong reasons. This application is awesome.
I basically use 360 Security to block connection through firewall which requires root access.

I give 5 out of 5 to this app

I am not aware there are Android limitations, but you'll never know.
Can you please check if the issue persists with all internet access allowed? And just to be sure it is caused by using a VPN: check if the issue persists when NetGuard is disabled.
Please create an issue on GitHub about screen casting to remind me to look into it, if you can reproduce the issue with all internet access allowed.
I don't think NetGuard will drain your battery, but if you really think this is the case, please provide details and a logcat and I will look into it.Im using LG G4 and on my phone NetGuard drains my battery. RAM usage is 250 MB RAM
NetGuard is not a trademark, this was checked while choosing the name. There is other application with the same name and functionality.
Suggest to rebrand application.
