Sure. No fight intended here either. Of course it's easy to try it on your own, but on the other hand just as easy to answer or to ignore, if you feel it's a rather lazy attitude that makes you ask such things.
Only feel the spam factor of the question and an answer like that is pretty much equally high.
But that said, no offence, just a thought.

I have commented earlier myself and family are running this launcher on five different devices running lollipop to Oreo, none of *those* devices have any battery drain, and the launcher doesn't show up in the apps using battery, just like nova doesn't.

I just wonder if you use any widgets because they are known to use battery and show the launcher is using battery when it is in fact not.

I'm not refuting any reports of battery drain, but i also have to give honest feedback of my own experiences of this launcher.

Alba 4 (android 5.1) no battery drain
Sony Xperia E5 (android 6.0) no battery drain
Alcatel A3 XL (android 7.0) no battery drain
Motorola moto E3 (android 7.1.2) no battery drain
HTC One M9 (android 8.0) no battery drain.

Edit.

My son just got a Samsung J5 2017 (to replace the Motorola E3) and has only been running this launcher on it for just over 24 hours so its a little too soon to comment on that device.

Regards

Unfortunately not and this is answered on pretty much every page of this thread.

The dev works on lawnchair which offers icon support.
This one is staying 100% stock as google intended.

Actually, I have to agree with people with battery drain on this launcher, coz I experience the same since version 1.2 on, both on Oreo 8.0 and DP 8.1 on stock, non root Nexus 5x. It's always in top 3, if not on top of battery usage list, especially when phone is idle. It doesn't show only if I extensively use 5 or 6 other apps, but for a charge cycle it always consumes 80-150 mAh.
P.S. No widgets on my home screen, just shortcuts.

All of you who have battery drain issue is probably due to notification dots . In short notification access .
Turn it off and test

Amazing I wanted this for Soo long
Since I have a phone with an AMOLED screen and 99% I use a black wallpaper the gradient at the bottom prevented the pixels from turning off now it's much better .
If only you could give us the option to disable the gradient up top as well as it also doesn't turn off the pixels when using a black wallpaper .
Thanks for your amazing work.
