I don't know if this thread is still for discussion but ADM seems to be downloading faster than IDM.

I downloaded the same 17 mb video which is an anime preview. I downloaded it to my SD card which I admit is Class 4 so it's slow. Problem is IDM consistently sat at around 60 kbs while ADM would shoot up to 5 mbs and then drop down to 0 then back up. Long story short, it took ADM 11 seconds to download the file while it took IDM 50 seconds to about a minute

Try below steps and see if it improves the speed

1) Enable empty file creation in IDM setting

2) Enable Acquire wakelock in IDM setting

3) Enable Advanced download in IDM setting

Btw with ADM are you downloading in Phone storage or SD card?

I enabled all of those things. And both IDM and ADM are set to download to external SD card

Hmm so far this seems to have ramped the speed up. If this is the case, shouldn't this be the default value? I thought that to make it faster, you make it download more parts
