Thanks for the feedback!

I don't use TeslaUnread but I've just installed it to test myself. I use Nova Launcher, so it will be easy to check.

What I've done:
1- Install TeslaUnread from Playstore
2- Customize the apps concerned in TeslaUnread app (so, XDA Labs and XDA Forum ticked)
3- Battery Optomization disabled in Android settings for TeslaUnread
4- Make sure TeslaUnread counter setting is enabled in XDA Labs general settings.

I will report soon.

Thank you for trying check the problem with TeslaUnread.
1,2,3,4 it's all done but nothing.

The notifications from the app itself and from the status, don't work again. Can't understand why. Can you screenshot your settings of xda lab? maybe I miss something?

@soilentgreen
So, teslaunread badges counter works fine here (screenshot 1) but I had to change something in Nova Launcher settings (see screenshot 2 and 3).

Push notifications are sometimes not showing instantly. They can be delayed for some reason.

I sometimes don't see them as well but it comes after a few minutes.

In the next notification I'll wait and see if it works.

Android is increasingly aggressive about killings background services so until I refactor the notifications this will be a problem. The best thing users can do is untick "Optimize" if they're on N/O.

I knew we have to untick "Optimize" in Android settings to get push notifications properly but I thought it would fully resolve that delay for Android N and below versions. So, I thought the delayed or missing push notifications issue of Labs was MAINLY happening since Android O and not below because, quoting you: "Google got rid of background services in O, ..." from THIS POST.

OMG amazing milestone! The post right after this will be the 10,000th!

That's since Nov 5, 2015 (833 days) so that adds up to an average of just over 12 posts per day. I dig numbers =)

Really shows there's an amazingly dedicated community behind this project and on XDA in general really. Big thanks to all devs, contributors and fellow users for making this app better every day
