App standby and Doze will still always affect apps no matter what, so while unticking Optimize does help a lot, it's still not perfect.

The only sure fire solution is to use Google's FCM/GCM for notifications.

I've a feature suggest that ain't listed yet but not less important as well.
That ability to choose the default view (content) upon opening the app. For example, for me, I prefer setting 'Subscribed threads' instead of News Portal.

Great thanks! That didn't catch my eyes so I thought it was missing. Way better alternative idea.

Hi, this XDA is such a great app, exceeds my expectations, I should have tried it sooner. Excuse if this is the wrong place but I have a future feature suggestion. The 'my device' feature could have a tab or sort button or something similar to show newly created threads for your device, or maybe a sort by newest threads button somewhere. Also, could we have in-app notifications for new posts in subscribed threads, and perhaps frequency options too like fetch hourly, daily and instant (push) options. I'm using the XDA app haven't tested labs yet. That's all I can think of for now. Cheers, keep up the great work XDA team!
