I have just released beta version 1.491

Changelog/download:
https://github.com/M66B/open-source-email/releases

This version fixes changing the sort order or applying new filters. Edit: this was caused by caching lists.

Maybe obvious: colored stars are not supported by IMAP and can therefore not be synchronized to the email server. This means that colored stars will not be visible in other email clients and will be lost on downloading messages again. However, the star will be synchronized and will be visible in other email clients, if supported.

Some email clients use IMAP keywords for colors. However, not all servers support IMAP keywords and besides that there are no standard keywords for colors.

In message view mode, rotating phone by 90 degrees causes appearing endless sinner (and no message) on the screen. I have waited for ~5min and nothing changed.

Where is this spinner exactly located?
Wasn't it shown before rotating too?

Right in the center of the "message space" - have a look to attached screenshot

I cannot reproduce this, can you?
Are you using the latest version of FairEmail?

Edit: if you are using the latest version of FairEmail and can reproduce this, please contact me for a test version (just use 'Report issue' in the main navigation menu).

This problem is being caused by a small bug in the new list caching and occurs only when you have enabled the advanced option 'Automatically go to next conversation on close conversation'. It will be fixed in the next release.

Edit: fixed in the just released beta version 1.493
