If that is possible it would be cleaner and simpler design than having the button always displayed.

It is more clear for user for home button to take you to top rather than bottom. The logic is inverse.

Remapping the system button is not a good idea as they are for the system, not for apps.

What do you think?

Thank you very much,

You'll need to install a viewer for this:

OK thanks.
I knew from my old client that this is internal solved.
Thanks for the link and tipp.

Other question: If I want to delete a file in the trash, this can only be done by multi select and then delete. In the message itself is not a delete and even via 3 dot menu not.

Is it right?

Thanks,

Thomas

I don't want bloat in FairEmail and certainly not for things that should not happen. winmail.dat should not be sent at all.

There is a (permanent) delete in the trashed message view, look for a trash can.

See Screenshots. Sometimes the Trash Symbol isn't there...

In Account settings the trash folder is set.

Thanks,

Thomas

It looks like this message is not synchronized with the server.
You can't delete, etc messages that are not yet synchronized.

Edit: there is another explanation: the message has no message ID. This will be improved in the next release.

Perhaps there is no trash-symbol because your mail, ths180, IS always in the trash?
Here I can see the german word 'Löschen' (engl. trash) but no symbol.
Another question: Should there at the bottom a third symbol in the line?

There should be an extra action in the bottom action bar. I have seen this happen a few times too. This seems to be caused by a bug in a Google component (yet again).

Issues with internal IMAP server?
Folks;
tried to start with FairEmail yesterday in order to find something to replace K9-Mail on our corporate helpdesk / support tablets - and ran into "issues" (?) in making FairEmail work with our internal IMAP server. We use cyrus 2.4.x and make excessive use of shared public mailboxes, even though the accounts in question just subscribed to few of them. What happens:
  • Generally, the whole app extremely slows down having any account on this server configured. Used K9-Mail and AquaMail before on one of these devices, both were reasonably fast, FairEmail is almost unusable in UI interactions such as scrolling through the inbox.
  • At some point (after second to fifth start of the app), the whole thing would "lock up", leave me with a bunch of "tasks" (like fetching mail bodies, trying to move mails, ...) queueing up but never completing. Likewise, by then, I'm also unable to delete or stop any of these tasks - they'll even re-appear after force-closing and restarting the app. That's utterly weird. The only way that *seems* to fix this is to remove and re-add the account which is a pain for other reasons.
  • Re-adding the accounts asks me to configure folders such as Sent, Draft, Trash, ... . All these are *supposed* to be stored in an INBOX.<...> hierarchy on the mail server. With several hundreds public folders, assigning each of these settings to the "right" folder is about scrolling endlessly through a very long folder list. Would it be possible to make these searchable using text input?

I have seen several places where to set things such as "IMAP prefix", which I tried to set to "INBOX" but apparently that doesn't do anything. Already noticed that "only listing folders an account is subscribed to" is a Pro feature and wouldn't hesitate buying Pro for that, but unsure whether it actually is what I think it does.
Any solutions to any of these things? Can I provide any information on how to track down what's happening here?
Thanks in advance and all the best,
Kristian
