Could be, but it is better to have everything aligned.

I have just released beta version 1.761

Changelog/download:
https://github.com/M66B/FairEmail/releases

All reported bugs should be fixed and there should be a bit less lag when fast scrolling.

Cannot see any difference in behavior between

Collapse single message in conversation on "back" = off
Collapse multiple messages in conversation on "back" = on
and
Collapse single message in conversation on "back" = off
Collapse multiple messages in conversation on "back" = off

Thanks for this new version in which my issue about 'Mark as read' on message moving manually is now fixed.
Thanks again

In Conversation mode on:
Read a mail in a conversation with only one message -> back -> see the unified inbox
Read a mail in a conversation with multiple messages -> back -> see the conversation thread

If I do this (one of the scenarios above!) back will lead me ALWAYS to the unified inbox.

Open a conversation, expand more than one message, tap back and the messages will collapse with this settings enabled. One back more will return you to the (unified) messages list.
