Maybe the new watchdog is causing this. You can disable it in the advanced options, section miscellaneous > Periodically check if FairEmail is still active

What do you think about the filter variant all unread message and stared to show.
I think it is a good and complete view for all important mails.

I like to keep FairEmail usage as simple as possible, so I have no plans to add this filter.

With Filter pity. But I know your opinion, ok.

I know BetterBatteryStats and have the pro Version. I will test. First I disabled watchdog.
I give it a try.
Then I will test with watchdog and BBS.

Why do we need watchdog? We have a permanent notification.

Some Android variants aggressively kill apps, even with an ongoing foreground notification, see also here: https://dontkillmyapp.com/

Also, if FairEmail crashed for whatever reason, you want it to be started automatically ASAP to not miss email. That said, FairEmail crashes are fortunately rare.

The watchdog 'barks' about each hour, so not frequently.

If I search for a mail and have a result list.
Then I tap on one message to view.
If I go then back, the result list disappears.

I think a problem with the new cached list?

This version fixes changing the sort order or applying new filters. Edit: this was caused by caching lists.

Maybe obvious: colored stars are not supported by IMAP and can therefore not be synchronized to the email server. This means that colored stars will not be visible in other email clients and will be lost on downloading messages again. However, the star will be synchronized and will be visible in other email clients, if supported.

Some email clients use IMAP keywords for colors. However, not all servers support IMAP keywords and besides that there are no standard keywords for colors.
