The latest OTA for the X605F has been released. If you've rooted, you'll need to restore stock boot.img before loading the OTA and re-rooting.

The LMSA rescue ROM (9.0, security patch 5 May 2019) is TB_X605F_USR_S200065_1905280020_Q00332_ROW
OTA #1 (9.0, security patch 1 July 2019) is TB-X605F_USR_S210045_190808_Q00332_ROW
OTA #2 (9.0, security patch 1 Sept 2019) is TB-X605F_USR_S210097_190927_Q00332_ROW
OTA #3 (9.0, security patch 1 Nov 2019) is TB-X605F_USR_S210126_191029_Q00332_ROW

Here's the Magisk patched boot.img for OTA #3: magisk_patched.img.

Code:
fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img
To help, I've loaded a basic version of TWRP for the X605F. Data encryption/decryption is not working yet. It you want to remove data encryption (and dm-verity), checkout @turboperson123 's thread for a non-encrypted TWRP solution.

OMG !!!
You are incredible
That's just impressive. When I first read the original post from Chaser, I thought "This is the way" but I didn't expect it would go so far so fast with the M10 Tab.

Thank you so much for all your work.

Just picked up a Lenovo Tab M10 TB-X505F off the Amazon treasure truck. Trying to get it rooted. I have already unlocked the bootloader in fastboot and I imagine all I have to do is patch the boot.img in Magisk manager and then flash it in fastboot. Im not sure where to get the boot image. Its running build number TB-X505F_S001034_191101_ROW. Where are you guys finding them?

Edit: The firmwares are apparently found in LMSA (Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant).

Edit again: The latest version in LMSA is TB-X505F_USR_S001032_1909200054_Q00015_ROW.zip. Anyone know how I get the latest OTA image?

Edit once more: Figured out how to get the X505F_S001032_190920_ROW_TO_X505F_S001034_191101_R OW_WC315D0389.zip from LMSA. It doesnt have a boot.img but a boot.img.p instead. I imagine I have to patch the S001032 boot.img with the S001034 boot.img.p. How do I do that? o_O

The boot.img.p you are using is from an OTA. As you noticed, it's not enough.

You need to grab a complete stock boot.img. It's probably in the TB-X505F_USR_S001032_1909200054_Q00015_ROW.zip you got from LMSA. Then you sequentially apply all the boot.img.p files from each OTA until you get to the build on your tablet.

I've been using @Chaser42 's method to apply patches using an old Marshmallow device. If you're running linux, you can also use @Long_Sam 's method using an emulator. Happy patching!

Thanks. Ive gone ahead and just rooted S001032 for now until I figure out patching. Probably will look into the emulator in the future. Until then, if anyone else gets a complete S001034 boot.img, I wont turn it down, lol.

Alright I'm in for P10 64gb for $175, My old Tab 2 A10 finally quit after 2 battery replacements.
Really happy to see this is rooted and a possible TWRP is in the works.

I might just give away / sell my Echo show if this works out as a suitable replacement.

I can't upgrade my M10 to OTA#3. You can read the TWRP log in attached file.
What can I do, please ?

I got one also for my wife to replace her Samsung Tab S2 battery hog. I hope it is an improvement in other ways also.
