1. Unlock bootloadrer

My devices was shipped witch Oreo on board, so there is no easy way to unlock, I found PAID service that using IMEI and SN generate unlock code for me to use with fastboot (google: "HMD Nokia Bootloader Unlock"

2. First flashing

Having unlocked BL I use OST to flash https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...2&postcount=40, let it boot, skip everything, enable debugging and

Code:
adb reboot recovery
from recovery flashed v3.3 zip https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...postcount=1451, let it boot, skip everything, enable debugging and
Code:
adb reboot recovery
again

3. Pick ROM

Having two devices I decided to try two roms:

clean AOSP: https://github.com/phhusson/treble_e...tions/releases

but it lack options I used to tick, so second choice was Havoc:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/hav...iles/arm64-ab/

4. Do the trick

Download, unpack img, flash img to system form recovery, factory reset, reboot, njoy.

How is it comparing to 2140 which is android 8.0?

I'm thankful for this simplified guidance.
However, after installing Trebled Rom v3.3 from @heineken78, Treble Check app from Playstore identified the phone as having only A partition, instead of AB (as your Havoc OS link suggested). Isn't it, @heineken78?

Hello,

I wanted to buy this phone but before that I would like to know if it's possible through software (ROM/Magisk) to make the top borders rounded instead of cut off as they are (I understand some screen will be lost).

Also, do you think that if I buy the phone from Taobao it could be sim locked to a Chinese carrier? Or would it work globally?

Thanks!!
