I should probably share my discoveries so far with the QM152E.
I was able to access the device via ADB over the network ever since that one firmware that appeared to have enabled it. When I ADB reboot to the bootloader, it takes me to fastboot mode (requires a USB A male to USB A male cable from the TV to the PC). When it takes me to this mode, there can be a graphical glitch at first.
I did a test flash of the recovery image using the one found in '/system/boot'. There was a notice about there being no max download size being reported by the device and gone ahead and flashed the image successfully.
I had noticed that the TV would remain in fastboot even if you replug it. It would try booting back into the system if a fastboot reboot is done. So if yours ends up stuck on the Philips logo, be sure to have that cable ready and have it plugged in, replug the power and then issue the command when you want to get out of that mode.
As far as KingRoot 5.0.1 goes, it either fails or results in a kernel panic (as reported by the system).
So, it would go like this (from 'getprop'):
Code:
[sys.droidtv.bootreason]: [panic]
[sys.droidtv.bootreason_kernel]: [kernel panic]
