Hello!

I've just bought a cheap Android-based DLP projector (https://ru.aliexpress.com/item/d7-2-...840752762.html) and faced an issue that its picture is overcontrast and oversaturated. Take a look:

I've managed to fix this by connecting it to my pc, and correcting saturation and contrast via player in windows:

But that works only via HDMI source. I can play youtube, movies, and pictures directly from Android, but there is no such option to correct it. Is there any custom firmware with such an option?

Okay, that's a real trash. Managed to find an app in google store, but this only allows to change contrast, no simple "saturation" slider.

Answering myself. Used these two apps:
This one to lower contrast, to resurrect shadows: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...g.halfcycle.cc
And this one, at last, to lover image saturation: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...gacentauri.red

I was really surprised how it's hard to find an app that can lover vividness.

Thanks for posting back..
Grabbed one of these for a play and had thought it would be good for using in class..

But these are not that good.

While it is fine for home use as in for the kids and for maybe taking camping and running a movie at night off the side of a tent..
(Little Bluetooth speaker and this.)

I wouldn't recommend them as yet..

The technology is getting there and as the ability to maximize light gets better we will just have to wait..

Will give your apps a try and see how we go..

This works for quick reboots..

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ers.easyreboot

Have not tried to boot to recovery as yet .not game..as don't know if the USB combo will work and haven't found out if there is a pin hole to use .

Have you upgraded to Android 7.1 yet?

Hello,

The only way to have “natural colors” with this projector is by using a free app from google play that is called “color calibrator” (by HalfCycle).

You set to full (move the bars on the right) the following (only) : red, blue, green AND contrast

It worked
