Yes i have patched but when tried to flash via fastboot it said BL locked.

The link you shared isn't free. You have to pay.

And i didn't get why sp flash is needed for root? You can flash via fastboot. Just need to unlock BL first.

Would sp flash allow to flash without bl unlock?

@jameeldroid

1. I know you are aware of these format
but still Make sure once again that your OEM & USB_DEBUGGING are turned ON in DEVELOPER MODE.
and once you connect your device to pc via FASTBOOT_MODE through ADB-MINIMAL&FASTBOOT..
try these Cammandants
"adb devices"
"adb reboot bootloader"
"fastboot oem-unlock"
"fastboot flashing unlock_critical"
"fastboot reboot"

SIDENOTE:- Please make sure you reboot right after OEM-UNLOCK otherwise you're gonna face some issues while installing twrp...

2. For above Link, you can find alternate source via surfing the web..

3. Well if you mod a custom rom with SU included you can root it without BL unlocked with SPflash tool, as the binaries are part of the SYSTEM.img itself..

Can confirm if your phone is encrypted? You can check that under Settings>Security & location

It should retain encryption etc after flash

Stock boot image version i have patched is

X650C-H626DEJ-P-191023V236

And i have uploaded it here.

THANKS.

You don't need custom recovery to flash magisk. A patched boot image with magisk could do the job

Check your current XOS version under system update settings. Tap XOS version 5.0 something and it will give you complete build detail

1. Its stock, but there's nothing DM_VARIETY.zip cant fix....
Device ENCRYPTION is part of factory settings.
There's plenty of way to get around that, if you know how to surf the WEB..
PS:- When i bought my INFINIX HOT 8 (X650C) the stock BUILD NO was V217...but you quoted "Stock boot image version i have patched is X650C-H626DEJ-P-191023V236"

How did you got updated ROM without its initial OTA???
did you flashed it with TPSW or was it your STOCK BUILD when your bought your device??????

2. We all understand the concept of MAGISK but in order to attain the accessibility, we need the current STOCK BOOT.img for patch and since we cant Extract it without its original FIRMWARE.zip the reliable way to FLASH is to install a CUSTOM-RECOVERY.

3. The post was about minor OTA for V224... @darylzero tried to extract the BOOT.img for MAGISK but the .zip file only consisted of Script ".p"
Besides XOS is just a UI LAUNCHER you can download the tweak's isolated without merging system files
Where as BOOT.img directly Converse through DEVICE-KERNEL .

you can simply flash this stock rom to your phone and then flash patched boot image to gain root if you are unable to find stock boot image for your current build.
