Now that RCOM is winding up its wireless business, will it unlock the device for using with other service providers.

We must ask RCOM or atleast drag them to consumer court

None of your plan work out. They are shameless wont listen or care you at all.
If anybody ready to unlock, will ask 500 bucks.
Better to buy a new unlocked 4g wipod or a 4g mobile with good battery backup which can be used in both the way.

finally wd670 unlocked .. and now am using all national and internation 4g sims with it .
i found this guy on youtube who connect to your device and unlocks it for you .
his channel name is riotech india. for a small fee payable via paytm (Rs 350) . or online.

Can you please help me in unlocking WD670?

you can goto android adb interface by switching off the device and then connecting the device to your pc by pressing power + wps button. It will show up as android device. Install zte usb drivers. I used zte blade drivers.

Do you still have WD670_Reliance 4G_B03 file. I have flashed mdm9607-sysfs.ubi on system partition which made it to boot into hardboot and it is detected over Qualcomm COM Port for radio changes. I need to restore system so I am hoping that this file can help me.

Once we install the "Rcom_Switch.." software,

1. In the installation directory (ie C:\Program Files\Rcom_Switch_WIFI_SD_TOOL_V1.0.3_2016-5-9\image) there will be
a file "WD670_Reliance 4G_B03". It looks it is the firmware for this device (Reliance wd670).

2. In the installation path "adb" folder, there is a "burn.bat" which says
"fastboot -i 0x12d1 flash system ..log\mdm9607-sysfs.ubi > result.txt 2>&1"
It looks the upgrading firmware in fastboot method. I googled for "mdm9607-sysfs.ubi" and got the file

I dont know what are .ubi files. Generally firmware files are .img

Can we do something with it?. Can someone give idea?.
