edit: mine doesnt have the bootlogo (it has, techniically, but just the penguin 'tux') when it boots up, due to flashing incompatible stuff. The phone still works though. Thanks.

Here you go:
[GUIDE] How to Change Boot Logo (Splash Screen) of Zenfone 2 Laser

Pls check if it's working and reply immediately; if it's not working, I have to remove that tool, since I posted it before no one tested it.

If you had changed the bootlogo previously, how did you get it? (From stock ROM?)
And, how does that file you provided contain 'Google' boot logo?? (Does that mean there's already a tool somewhere?)

Lol, you should have sent the original stock splash.img bro..
If it is not currently working in your device, then the splash.img which you extracted from your device cannot be used to build splash.img that matches your device..

Anyway, I'm downloading the stock ROM of your device to get stock splash.img from there..

Edit:
There's no splash.img in the stock ROM zip..
Send me the original stock splash.img (ask from someone with same device)..

The "file" is no real file but a device node, just as all files on /dev are. When trying to read from them the kernel will read directly from the partition. It's not a real file, so it doesn't have a size. Just try to read from it and it will turn out just fine.
