I've tried in my personnal laptop with Ubuntu 18.4 inside, and my professionnal laptop with Windows 10, same result...

Do you know what it can be ?

Thank you !

try the latest nightly.
if it does not work: open the failsafe menu (UEFI: black pinguin and tab key, legacy BIOS mode: arrow key down and tab on the failsafe entry)
when you have AMD/ATI graphics choose that one or when NVIDIA that one.
when that does not work try all the other failsafe options and let me know which worked.

also in your working Ubuntu type and share the output of this command from a terminal:
Code:
lspci

yes thats known and fixed in the upcoming v4.0.
try this nightly: mAid_v2019-10-09_01-46_x86_64_forgetful.iso (do not use the one from 2019-10-15 as it has some issues)

Soft lockup error on boot
I've been using FWUL for ages now and it's super useful. However I've run in to an issue when booting both persistent and forgetful modes.
Error is
watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 23s! [Systemd-udevd:272]

Try the latest nightly and if it still persists share a photo of the entire screen

Same issue. Note that booting up by default just sticks me in a bootloop as soon as it launches past the selection screen. Choosing failsafe mode for nvidia does same. The other 3 end in soft lockup.

could you tell your exact PC model (alternatively: exact CPU model, RAM amount etc) and graphic card?
