FWUL is USB not virtual machine

Content of previous salt.log file

When there is one thing I hate then modified logs do not touch anything when providing logs and please do not paste logs like that directly . Use a paste service like paste.omnirom.org or similar .

Ok but do you have ever rebooted ? It really looks odd what your logs showing. A reboot should fix and issues regarding "SALT is running already" . Do that and then start SALT from a terminal and share the log and the terminal output (with a paste service).

Cannot Launch Salt
I had rebooted many times but I must admit I am much more comfortable in Windows than Linux but I managed... I am not sure I used the right command to launch in the terminal window but based on the output, I think I got it right. I tried to find the equivalent of a task manager but I think FWUL has no GUI equivalent of task manager.

Salt.log file salt executed from terminal window.
paste.omnirom.org/view/110a4936
text generated by Salt within terminal window.
paste.omnirom.org/view/48383757
PS. I am not allowed to paste links since I have less than 10 posts. I had to strip the links. Sorry
When launched I was asked for a password I entered the default password linux.

Well done thx. yea that can happen with nightlies as they are not tested.

It seems the nightly has an issue with the tool yad which is used by SALT to display the graphical frontend:

For reference (for me):

yad: error while loading shared libraries: libwebkit2gtk-4.0.so.37: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I will fix that asap but that issue will not happen in the stable 3.1 of FWUL. If that happens there, too (or another issue) you have to start SALT again from the terminal and paste the log from the terminal again . The command for that is (as you found out already):

sudo ~/programs/SALT/salt

or

double click the "SALT debug" icon in the LG folder on the desktop .. (sorry I forgot I had that one).

Note:
There is the possibility to click "thanks" / thumbs up on each post where you think it's worth it

read the FAQ #1000 in this thread to understand how to share the log. I always need the full log. If you cannot paste a link use spaces in the URL
