However, if I browse to DCIM/Gear 360/ in file manager, I see the newly stitched video there. Now if I 'open with' and select Samsung Gear 360 Manager app, it opens and plays the 360 video in all its glory.

And then after a little while, when I reopen the app, it finally shows it there in the My Device tab.

There was one instance where in file manager, the final stitched video was appended with ".MP4.TEMP". I removed the .TEMP and "open with: Samsung Gear 360 Manager" and it worked.

Thanks!

Thank you for the log. Your device runs out of memory!! Are you using knox / device encryption? I see an encryption process grabbing a file and encrypting it, which is clearly contra-productive in terms of memory problems If you are using device encryption please try to disable it and re-rung the tests!

Best Regards

Browse to DCIM/Gear 360/ and you'll see it there. Close and reopen app and it'll show up. This happened to me too. It appears to be a memory issue.

Update still not full res on S6
Hi,

Once again thanks for these updates!

I Installed the june 20th version as the previous one crashed whenever I tried importing/stitching full res on my S6. The new version quits at the very same point. I choose the file, shot at 3840, to save to my S6 and it starts the proces but after about 28% the app shuts down.

What could be wrong here?

I attempted to get a logcat from adb, but I believe my phone isn't changing to debug mode when I connect it to a computer, even though I have enabled debugging mode.

I installed the latest version of Gear 360 manager on this thread, and am still having the same issues where I cannot transfer videos or pictures from the camera. I am also unable to load live view.

I downloaded an app called "alogcat" and am hoping this is the same information as a normal logcat file.

Here is the debug info from alogcat:

logcat apps won't work unless you're rooted.

Unrooted, follow the instructions here: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/get-log...-bugs-android/

Thanks, but as ThaiM mentioned, you need to do it from adb. This is not a full log and misses the important parts :/

Well, I only use the S6's for Gear VR demos, they are not rooted, I don't know how or even if I want to. I guess I'm stuck then.

I will try future versions to see if it works or else if Samsung updates their app or even releases a MacOS version!

Thanks nonetheless!

You do not need to be rooted, you just have to grab the log with your pc, when doing on PC there is no neet for root!

I also have a black liveview followed by the app not responding. I'm on a S5 with 6.0.1. This happens either in 2k or 4k

I have the phone rooted, if you tell me how i can get the correct log I can post it here.
Thanks
