Hi I am hoping someone who knows what to look out for can help point me in the right direction to allow my banking app UOB Mighty to run again.

UOB Mighty app was working fine with Magisk 20.4 and MagiskHide on Manager 7.5.1. until the UOB app got updated recently. It detected root and only allows me to quit the app. My phone is not rooted (only use MagiskHide to hide unlocked bootloader) so UOB app must be finding something else that thinks the phone is rooted.

Device: Redmi K20
ROM info: Pixel Experience BS with Hasty Kernel (Link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-...ience-t4071287)
Recovery: OrangeFox

What I have tried:
- Ensure both checks for safetyNet passed
- Cleared storage on UOB app
- Uninstall and reinstall UOB app
- Toggle off and on UOB app in MagiskHide
- Download MagiskManager and hide it again
- Enable Core module on both manager and OrangeFox recovery
- Ensure Developer Options and USB debugging is not turned on
- Restored phone with Xiaomi fastboot image and reinstalled custom rom and Magisk from scratch
- Deleted magisk apk from downloads folder
- Deleted Fox directory

Attached are the logcats. One with a normal run and another after running the following 2 commands as suggested in the first logcat:

Code:
adb shell setprop log.tag.FA VERBOSE
adb shell setprop debug.firebase.analytics.app com.uob.mighty.app
Any help for this will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Clean Google play services data and add both play services and bank app to Magisk hide.

Thanks.

So I did the following:
1. Cleared Storage for Google Play
2. Cleared Storage for UOB Mighty app
3. Uninstalled UOB Mighty app
4.. Add Google Play Services and all sub services to MagiskHide
5.. Launched Google Play and installed UOB Mighty app
6. Add UOB Mighty to MagiskHide
7. Launch UOB Mighty App

Unfortunately, after granting UOB app permissions to phone and device storage, it still detected root as per earlier.

Well, some apps detects the TWRP folder or the Magisk app.
Try renaming the folder. The Magisk manager has an option to hide itself (basically rename). You can set that in settings.

And I was not talking about Google play store, it's Google play services.

Ok. I tried again for play services. Still the same results.

I do not have TWRP folder. I did find Fox folder (I am using OrangeFox) and have deleted it. Magisk manger has been hidden as well (and also unhidden and rehidden). Other things I have done are in the OP.

I'm out of options man.
There is a thread here in xda specific for talks about Magisk+ Google pay. Thought not exactly what you are asking, but they may be able to help.

It probably detect the unlocked bootloader. That usually throws a 'secret' code somewhere somehow.

Thank you for trying.

My Google pay works fine. All my other banking apps are working fine as well. It is just this one app.

I am hoping one of the devs here can pick up something from the logcat.

Did you try to hide magisk manager? Select that in magisk settings
