This can help anyone who wants to use DNS Switch magisk module and use any one of the custom DNS servers from the list below.

Magisk module is attached in this post.

Search in magisk repo for DNS Switch (under Download in magisk manager) and install it.

Open Termux or Terminal Emulator, type command su and type dns_switch
Select custom
enter the DNS server that you want
reboot your device and enjoy safe browsing

I can access the CLI for dns_switch but setting a custom DNS does not work.

My bad, It does work resolver name is my operator's name🤔

prop net.dns1 and net.dns2 seems to be overriden with wifi or mobile configuration or with ISP defaults.

at least on mine. samsung with android 10.

you can test it by setting some dns servers then try switching from wifi to mobile network (or vice versa) and check the prop if it stands

getprop | grep dns

I had this weird issue this week where my LTE data signal bars had an [x] on it. Investigating further I found out I could ping 8.8.8.8 but not use my internet, so likely a DNS issue. Strangely the issue did not exist over WiFi and did not exist with a SIM card from another operator.

Anyway, removing dns_switch seemed to resolve the problem for now, if someone else comes across the same issue perhaps this can help them.

same for me. dns_switch not found???
it worked some month ago.
