I know AC3 is supposed to be built in, but I'm always getting that it's not supported. Is there a specific setting I need to check?

I'm using MX Player Pro on my Philips POS 9002 with Amplituner Pioneer VSX 422. I have problem with AC-3 sound Passthrough
DTS works
AC3 works but only in stereo.
When I use 1.9.8 codecs situation is the same
I don't know what could I do?

currently, audio pass-through works when there is no internal decoder is available.
In future versions, we will add an option to prefer audio passthrough over internal decoders.

But on Mibox I get "AC3 is not supported". What do you suggest? MX Player Custom Codec?

It detects dolby digital but plays only in 2.0 (on custom codecs and withouth them - passthrough)
DTS works like a charm but Dolby digital not.
MX Player suport...please do something with this issue.

None, thought it would work out the box. Reading up on which one i need to download now (i have a Note 8, tmobile).

Got it to work. Downloaded file from the Gdrive (mx_neon), installed, restart app, works great. Thanks! (Note 8- Tmobile)

The AC3 & DTS issue solved:
1. Install the custom codec
2. Pause the movie
3. Select the music note icon
4. Change the sound decoder from HW to SW.
