Lol, you have to download one file and put it on your Phone/Tablet. Not to much to ask is it? Are people really that lazy?

This procedure is only for the free version of mxplayer? The paid pro version supports DD/DTS decoding?

Came upon this:
https://ac3freedomday.org/

Apparently the patent for AC3 expires tonight. I would assumes that means MXPlayer will now be able to ship with at least AC3 support out the box.

saw the same thing and was just about to post about ac3 being patent free as of now (in 30min but who cares)

dunno if it hit MX hard back in the day or not
it's up to the devs if they think it's OK to ship again with ac3 support or not (so I hope noone will start pushing the matter)

after all it's not completely clear, whether Dolby really won't send another letter, if they do it

it hasn't been confirmed by a lawyer after all

In which decoder you are playing?
If you are playing is SW, then it's usual when your device doesn't have enough processing speed.
HW & HW+ (If you have enabled) will be always smooth in most of the times.

I play in SW mode but when I want to change this in HW or HW+ decoder the message pop up that this is not supported. Some videos play smoothly with SW and HW decoder both but some videos does not play with HW and HW+ decoder and with SW decoder these videos play but audio skips regularly.

s7562 support 640p videos in stock above lags in hw decoder
360p videos in cm11 above not play hw decoder
Hw+ not have this device due to 4.0.4 ics version
hw+ decoder only in 4.1.2 jb and above version devices with stock rom
cm11 no longer support hw+ decoder
only sw decoder but with frames and audio lags in
720p and above pixels due to single core cpu
try flashable version from my work/signature
