I would like to ask a question: given that in 'Settings/Decoder/General' I see that I should stick with ARMv7 NEON, is there any difference in functionality between ARMv7 NEON-codec J2 Interactive provides in the Play Store, and the mx_neon.zip - if that even is the one I should go with - I can obtain through this site?

Thanks for the quick reply, but I would like to know what that specific ARMv7 NEON-codec provided by J2 Interactive does in order to know if there is a difference.

(In case you were wondering: I don't know what it does. From it's description I can only make up that it is for ARMv7 NEON CPUs :good

This thread includes all codecs from the Play Store + MORE. DTS, WMV, MPEG2, etc.

Recently WMV and MPEG2 seems to have been removed from Play Store codecs, but this thread still has it.

with no codec installed in some videos, the image is messed up.

Open mx player, go to decoder and right at the bottom it will tell you what to use.

thank you. but even with that, I can't reproduce some videos properly. they are in like in slow motion.. and only sw decoder option

mx player has just been updated.

old custom codec 1.9.0 cannot be loaded with new 1.9.8 version of mx player .
