Sony SmartEyeglass

Sony SmartEyeglass is an augmented reality headset built into a pair of glasses. It uses the 85% transparent lenses to overlay information, so you can see notifications and other features "floating" in your vision. The display is of a green monochrome appearance and has a resolution of 419 x 138. The SmartEyeglass features an accelerometer, gyroscope, electronic compass, and a 3MP camera. It is controlled with a wired "puck shaped" controller or through voice commands. The wired controller has to be paired with a compatible Android device in order for the SmartEyeglass to function, and communicates with the host Android device via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It has a claimed battery life of 150 minutes of continuous use on a single charge. Sony claim the SmartEyeglass could be used to get sports results in real time, see hands-free assembly instructions and receive directions while walking.
