you can't install custom recovery with locked bootloader
this will only work if you have previously unlocked before the kitkat update

Actually, you can (or at least could) unlock the bootloader on the xt925, through Motorola's website. The Verizon-specific xt926 cannot be unlocked if you have the KitKat (18x.46.15) update, because Verizon is a greedy, controlling company that wants to dictate how we can use our own devices.

i have the verison device , went to motorola's website , they said it can't be unlocked
now i am waiting for some kind of a miracle

Instruction: Unlock bootloader first to root but to unlock bootloader need root. How is it possible?
