Hello everyone on XDA forums! Here is a way to root Motorola OMAP-4, and many other platforms, without a computer.
(1). Download the apk from here http://androidsenpai.blogspot.com/20...r-apk.html?m=1
(2). Install the file.
(3).Open the app.
(4). Click all the dialogue boxes that say "root".
(5). When there are no more "root" dialogue buttons, click the red button.
(6). After clicking the red button, you need to reboot. Please do so!
After you reboot, you should have proper root access!
(7). Make sure that you install SuperSU after you reboot, and update the binaries.
(8). Enjoy root access on your Motorola OMAP-4 devices.
Big thanks to @sd_shadow for providing an alternate link. You can find his post here.
Note: This root method only works on Android version 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and above.
Note (2): Officially, this app only supports devices with Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) and above, but some users have reported that this root method also works on devices running Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
