Amazon Fire Phone

The Fire Phone is a 3D enabled smartphone developed by Amazon, and is the company's first delve into the smartphone market. Along the lines of the Kindle Fire, it runs a forked version of Android called Fire OS, which is based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The operating system is geared towards the use of Amazons online products and services.

On the hardware front, the standout feature is Dynamic Perspective, which gives the ipression of depth and 3D on screen. This is achieved using 4 cameras and gyroscopes built into the phone. The Fire Phone is pushed along by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core 2.2GHz processor and 2GB of RAM. The IPS LCD display comes in a 4.7" and has a resolution of 720 x 1280. Internal storage is either 32G or a generous 64GB. Other features include a 13MP F2.0 camera, 2400mAh battery, with a claimed 22 hours of talk time. Photos taken with the camera are automatically backed up to Amazon's Cloud Drive, with no limit on storage capacity.
