Fire TV Stick v2 tank bricked, no signal

Hello,

I have no signal from Fire TV Stick after unsuccessful lower-power-mode setup.
The last thing, that I saw from this stick was the progress bar "Optimizing system storage and applications... Insufficient USB power detected." on an old TV with DVI adaptor.

Then I've got a new TV, with proper HDMI. The ports are working (checked them with the laptop and nintendo switch)

- I did the amonet hack unbricking procedure, so I have the adb access.
- I did't create a backup of the firmware that was installed
- I've tried to flash via TWRP 5.2.7.1_rooted, lineage-12.1 and the stock update-kindle-full_tank-288.6.3.9_user_639566220
- Every partition (system, data, cache, dalvik) was wiped before flashing the firmware

In the adb logcat there are messages that HDMI state changed from plugged in to plugged out

If a system flash doesn't help, you may inspect that hdmi plug with a magnifying glass. And/or try to check the stick on a different TV.

Well, I've been experimenting today, and I finally killed it.

I guess it is time to find a new smart tv stick or box.

How did you kill the stick? During shorting that CLK resistor?

The 4k firestick got unlocked + magisk root a day ago

Technically, according to adb, the stick is still alive, but I can't flash it. Probably I should examine the HDMI connector. It looks perfectly solid, and healthy.

So, as a temporary solution I've installed the OSMC on rPi3 with Netflix and amazon prime video. I don't like the look and feel of Kodi plugins, I would prefer the native apps. So I am thinking of making a TV box from SM-G9550 (S8+ on Qualcomm) with shattered screen. I just need to choose the launcher and install a bunch of tv apps.

Buying a new Fire TV stick is also an option

Resistor has something about between 0 and 10 ohms, 0 ohms works fine.
You can easily replace the CLK resistor with a solder bridge between the two pads. Best is to solder a short thin piece of copper wire to that place.
Don't forget to look at the HDMI contacts

As for the adb key, you could use the boot-recovery / boot-fastboot scripts from amonet to boot twrp/fastboot. adb should work too.
