-Added e-compass (which SHOULD have been on the G4 Play, seriously)
-Fingerprint Scanner in select markets
-Nougat out of the box

And all for $20 cheaper than what most of us paid. Anyone else as pissed as I am?

Not me got mine at Open Mobile PR Moto G4 Play Factory Unlock XT1607 Bootloader unlockable. Just for $84 without contract, ditched the Open Mobile PR SIM (CDMA no Real LTE) and got an off contract T-Mobile sim now have LTE. Tested with AT&T, & Claro PR and other GSM SIM cards from family all of them works fine. Win win.

Keeping in mind benchmarks have limited utility in determining how a device will behave in real world conditions. Interesting stat that's largely meaningless.

Since apparently I need to clarify this, I was referring to 8.0 on the Moto E4.

Anyway, I'm pretty much done talking about this. My Xperia L1 came in yesterday, and while the MediaTek 6737T leaves a lot to be desired, the phone more than makes up for it with a more colorful screen (that is 5.5" 720p), GLONASS support, a magnetometer, a charge LED that actually works out of the box, an NFC chip, and some rather nice UI tweaks that not even Lineage seems to get right.

As expected from a handset that runs 2-2½ times the cost of a G4 Play.

Last I checked, $200 is 1.25x the value of $160, not 2.5x. Troll harder.

Decent deal on L1; got screwed on G4P. Still best to compare apples to apples.

Okay, relax. XDA is not the place for flaming. If you feel like being sarcastic get his email and do it over Hangouts. This is a friendly conversation about software updates, let's not make it a rage battle.

Yes it works. Mine works with T-Mobile, AT&T and other GSM, only uses CDMA for Open Mobile.

Did you have to flash a custom rom to get it to work?
