SALT should bring up a popup on start that your version is outdated (requires internet in the VM though)

Yo. I've been using the V30 Port for a long time and I was trying to flash this ROM to test, but I'm getting a strange error, it says that the ROM is not for my device and I'm using the H815 G4 version. I got the N bootloader. Is that a problem?

I assume you are officially unlocked and not UsU'd (this thread is for UsU devices)

Hi @steadfasterX... My NFC doesn't work. I can turn it on, but it doesn't do anything when I've tried to read any tag or another device :( ( I attached liveboot log with NFC on... if it helps.). I hope you can help me, pls. Thx.

In the other hand, I've tried to fix the empty MAC issue with yours solution in github, but nothing... so I made an script which it's load on boot and by now the WiFi it's working fine for me.

btw I've flashed this ROM cleanly, all wipes; System, Data, Int. Storage, Cache & Dalvik. and I've flashed last modem for the H815 (from v20p).

@ThePiGuy do we have issues with NFC? I cant test nfc here..

ok I just forgot about my credit card with NFC support... :)
so i downloaded the app "NFC tools" and tried to read with NFC my cards. works like a charme here (moving the card over the phones back at the bottom) ..

I just tried with EFIDroid, I've installed an Stock ROM and my NFC works perfectly :confused: . So I tried on LOS again, but with another app (BipReader) and it says that my NFC hardware isn't compatible... wtf :rolleyes:

the baseband package is ONLY for baseband and nothing else.. ;)

hmm so if you tried all these it must be something else.

NFC is handled by /odm/lib64/hw/nfc_nci.msm8992.so which gets generated by the ROM.. so that should be fine as long as you have a h815 :p

Pls disable NFC, then do and follow "option B) when you want to debug an Android issue (e.g. app crashes etc)" :

When you come to the step "now reproduce the issue" enable NFC, wait 10 sec and cancel the logcat

Hey, I'm totally stoked I finally got my G4 unlocked and rooted. I'd like to try this ROM. I scanned through the thread but didn't notice an answer, has anyone gotten Viper4Android with this ROM? If so, how? Thanks.

-Returned to the land of the rooted ones. :)

    About LineageOS:
    LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8 (oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Requirements
    • Your device need to be unlocked by UsU

    Installation
    1. If you have ever flashed the UsU baseband package: Clean flash the modem partition in TWRP:
      - TWRP flashable N modem (recommended)
    2. Full wipe like described here (click & go to FAQ "#zzz") is highly recommended. DO NOT REPORT ISSUES when you have skipped that step!
    3. Flash LOS
    4. Flash GApps (8.1 - ARM64) if you like to use google apps
    5. Flash SuperSU / Magisk if you want root
    6. Boot (will take long on first boot!)
    7. Enjoy

    Thanks for offering your help but unfortunately you can't do anything at the moment. I'm working on it at highest priority because I need it by myself but this issue is absolutely a nightmare and not easy to fix
